Cuprous oxide - also known as copper oxide and di-copper oxide - is available as a wettable powder or a wettable granule.
Cuprous oxide can be blended with fertilisers in order to correct copper deficiencies.
The product is practically insoluble in water, but soluble in dilute mineral acids and in aqueous ammonia. Copper is strongly absorbed on to organic matter.
For these reasons, soil mobility is very low and therefore even distribution through the soil profile is essectial for Cu (ion) uptake.
To ensure more effective distribution when blended with fertilisers, the WP formulation is preferred. This (in turn) ensures far more effective distribution through the soil profile, which leads to more effective root absorption.
